about
On a cold night of November, we sat down to create what would be for us the beginning of a deeply personal series. Through the use of random tapes, pedals, movies and any other things we had nearby, we experienced for hours in order to give birth to our sonic interpretation of our city's utter beauty.
The randomness and the clash of raw and unprocessed sounds filled our minds with inspiration and melancholy.
Passion was so strong that we found ourselves singing, crying, whispering and hitting objects randomly in front of the mic, which resulted in creating the balance of virtue and chaos that we envisioned for this series. While we closed our eyes, we could see ourselves wandering around this mix of old stone buildings and concrete architectures. Our purest vision of urban decay a its peak.
The joy of witnessing the genesis of something that we created was balanced by moments of hesitation, incomprehension and despair. We thought our journey as the archetype of the tribute we could give to the collapsing of the modernist architectural mouvement - giving birth to metabolism, brutalism and other forms of post modernism - represented so bad in our city. The musical journey brings us to the moments seeking this architecture, hidden in classic ashlar housings, looking for noises and atmospheres created by these concrete monoliths. It held naturally as our most pure, intimate way to bring you on a celestial trip, where you will feel the environment that produced us and defined our identity.
As a black-and-white film, it is shared between moments of pure light and darkness, the most honest representation of mankind as a complex ball of feelings and emotions.
